MBR is the abbreviation of Master Boot Record. It is a special sector in the front section of the hard disk. This sector contains the boot code of the operating system and the logical partition record of the hard disk. It has better compatibility and fewer problems, but MBR only supports hard drives under 2.1TB.
GPT is the abbreviation of GUID Partition Table, which is a newer structure than MBR.
It allows the use of hard disks above 2.2TB and the computer starts faster.
